Managing On-Line Learning: A Practical Guide for Experienced (and Not-So-Experienced) Administrators

AAL Webinar

Offering more on-line courses than ever these days? Wondering how to increase enrollment while ensuring quality? The Academy for Academic Leadership can help.

On-line learning is becoming more popular than ever, as two-year colleges continue looking for ways to improve their bottom line and students demand more value and convenience for their tuition dollars.

But as on-line course offerings expand, so do the issues associated with managing them--and the faculty members who teach them. Further complicating matters is the fact that many department chairs and discipline deans have little or no experience teaching on-line themselves.

That’s where “Managing On-Line Learning,” the new webinar from the Academy for Academic Leadership, comes in.

Designed for experienced on-line managers as well as for those who have little or no experience dealing with on-line courses, “Managing On-Line Learning” can help key administrators learn how to:

  • Support faculty on-line initiatives
  • Attract more students to on-line courses
  • Increase success rates of on-line courses
  • Evaluate and ensure quality in on-line courses
  • Assess general education outcomes for on-line courses
  • Evaluate performance of on-line faculty
  • Address legal and administrative issues associated with on-line learning
