Academic Leaders Regional Forums

New for 2025

Creating Space for Connection: Bringing Academic Leaders Together through Regional Forums

The Association for Academic Leaders is dedicated to creating spaces where Academic Leaders can come together, share experiences, and tackle the challenges facing schools today. In 2025, we’re delivering on this commitment with a series of Regional Forums, hosted at member schools across the country.

This new Regional Forum format will allow us to offer the interactive connections and inspiring opportunities that our members valued in our Annual Forum, but with the flexibility and convenience of a single day schedule, multiple dates across the winter and spring, and greater geographic diversity when it comes to location.

What to Expect at a Regional Forum

This year’s Regional Forum series will explore the evergreen, yet shifting and evolving, areas of Generative AI and workforce development. We will explore high-impact ways Academic Leaders can benefit from Generative AI, from powering up strategic planning to guiding faculty in developing personalized learning experiences and, of course streamlining administrative tasks. Additionally, we’ll address the often complex area of middle leadership—discussing effective structures for middle leadership roles and strategies to support these leaders in advancing the school’s mission and priorities. Each session will provide actionable takeaways that you can bring back to your school community.

There will also be time for networking and connecting with other Academic Leaders, learning about key initiatives underway at the host school, and exploring each host school’s community.
