Academic Leaders Listserv
The Association for Academic Leaders is happy to host the ACADEMIC-LEADERS listserv for educators and friends of education who are helping to lead the way towards the transformation of education through innovation, inspiring learners, and taking part in the collaborative work of schools and organizations.
The listserv is open to all. If you're working in a school or an organization that promotes the principles of equitable, meaningful, mission- and values-aligned education for all students, we'd love for you to join.

1. Be sure to include a descriptive subject line. E-mails received with no subject line may likely be perceived as spam by an email filter and be deleted before reaching the recipient’s inbox. For example, subject lines for questions or inquiries may begin: “QUERY:” or “QUESTION:” or “IN SEARCH OF RESOURCE:” or the like.
2. When you reply to the list, the default reply is for messages to go to the entire list, not the individual sender. This is intentional to allow for greater learning opportunities.
3. Personal replies should be directed to specific individuals rather than to the entire list. Cut and paste the sender’s e-mail address when replying rather than simply hitting the “Reply” button, which will send the response to the entire list.
4. ACADEMIC-LEADERS may not be used for the solicitation, promotion, or sales of commercial products or services. Violators will be suspended or removed from ACADEMIC-LEADERS.
5. Expressions of personal opinion are of course protected free speech on ACADEMIC-LEADERS, but all posts should please conform to the standards of civility that would apply in a school environment. As a reminder, the ACADEMIC-LEADERS archives are permanent and searchable.
6. Be kind, be respectful, think before you post and assume the best of your colleagues in your postings. Mistakes will sometimes be made, and communities thrive when apologies are made and accepted quickly and incidents forgotten.
7. Become familiar with the features, settings, options, and other capabilities of your e-mail client system. If the amount of ACADEMIC-LEADERS mail becomes cumbersome, rather than leaving that list, consider receiving the DIGEST form of the list. Instead of getting each email individually, you will receive a summary email at the end of each day. Individual subscribers need to request this function directly by using the Subscriber site. See directions above.
Thank you for your cooperation and consideration of these guidelines. We do not actively monitor the listserv for inappropriate postings at all times and do not on our own undertake editorial control of postings. You may bring any inappropriate posting to our attention using THIS LINK, and we will take appropriate action.
